Communities in Bloom

Downtown Strathmore

Communities in Bloom is a volunteer based, Canadian non-profit organization, committed to fostering civic pride, environmental responsibility, beautification and to improving quality of life through community participation and the opportunity to participate in a national program.

Strathmore is evaluated annually by Communities in Bloom, and for the first time in it’s history,  Strathmore received five blooms in the Communities in Bloom competition judged over the summer of 2018.

Communities in Blooms’s most recent project is Strathmore’s Birth Forest. This forest is located near Centennial Blvd, and Thomas Drive. Communities in Bloom has been planting over 45 trees per year. Residents in Strathmore can register to have a tree planted in honor of their new born child.

Communities in Bloom will be hosting their annual Birth Forest planting on Saturday, June 1 this year.
