The Strathmore Stampede

Strathmore stampede

If you have never been to the Strathmore Stampede (held every August long weekend) then you have to check out one of Canada’s largest rodeos and the world famous Running with the Bulls!

Dates for this year are August 2-5.

This annual event is Canada’s 3rd largest outdoor rodeo and features many of the same competitors as the Calgary Stampede Rodeo, at a much cheaper price. The line up for this years Rodeo features some of the best in Western Canada.

This event is located on Strathmore’s large Agricultural Grounds that include Grand Stand seating for rodeo viewing, and a camping area for those looking for a cheap place to stay when visiting. The Agricultural Grounds are located just north of the Strathmore Aquatic Center.

The Strathmore Stampede has daily rodeo events including Chuck-wagon races, food trucks, rides and exhibits.

Some featured events at the 2019 rodeo will include performances by a Magician, the Hockey Circus Show, a ventriloquist, a hypnotist and an improv show, ensuring there is something for everyone!

For the 2019 Strathmore Rodeo season, Visitors and Residents can save $5 when they buy Midway tickets in advance (and Midway tickets are good for unlimited rides for the whole day!)

Tickets for the Rodeo start at $15 per person, with Chuckwagon races starting at $20.
