Strathmore has a new Recreation Center facility! The Strathmore Motor Products Center opened it’s doors early 2-2019 and now provides the needed indoor, year-round multi-generational recreation facilities for residents and organized sports groups to use.
This new facility is located beside the newest Elementary school in Strathmore, and offers gym space for sports such as volleyball, basketball, badminton and lacrosse. This facility also includes an elevated running and walking track, and an area large enough to accommodate trade shows or large special events.
The Strathmore Motor Products Centre also recently installed their artificial turf field which facilitates indoor soccer games.
The specifics of the newest Strathmore Rec Center include:
- Elevated 5 lane walking/jogging track (1km)
- 4 Change rooms, shower facilities and washrooms
- 2 gymnasium playing surfaces for basketball, volleyball and other sports
- 1 Futsal turf surface for 5 v 5 soccer
