Strathmore’s Overnight Shelter was a hub of activity this weekend as participants gathered to participate in the annual walk to raise awareness and funds. Town Mayor Pat Fule and Strathmore’s MLA Derek Fildebrandt were in attendance participating in the walk and showing support.
Mayor Pat Fule shared a few of his thoughts with those participating in the walk Saturday and thanked all those in attendance.
“The Overnight Shelter is able to help a lot of people especially through the colder months…This is a real blessing. On behalf of the Town of Strathmore and councilmen we really appreciate all the work of the board and the volunteers and all the people who are going to go for a walk today. It’s an incredible thing, the Shelter is something that has filled a need.” said Mr. Pat Fule.
