Strathmore’s Library has been a pillar in the community for decades and recently underwent some much needed maintenance.
The Strathmore Library has recently undergone construction to regrade the land outside the building in an effort to improve flooding that the library is occasionally faced with. The outdoor renovation include a re-sodding of the front lawn, in addition to the planned installation of picnic benches.
This upkeep also included a renovation to update their interior. Recent changes include a larger kids section and an updated public computer area.
Strathmore Library Interior
The Library and kid section is used frequently during the summer months as the Library offers weekly story times, and classes for the public. The most recent Library event is the Act the Week event that teaches kids theater and prepares them to present a live show at the end of summer. This program is free, but is only open to the first 10 participants.
