Strathmore’s baseball team, the Red’s, are a member of the Strathmore & District Minor Baseball association. The Red’s are a competitive baseball team that play all across Alberta. This team offers tryouts once a year and take the top 16 players in the division to play with them.
Strathmore is also proud to be hosting the 2019 AA Minor Western Canada Baseball Championships in August. Teams invited to this Championship include Provincial Tier 1AA teams from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and BC.
Strathmore & District Minor Baseball association also hosts House league, Rookie, and T-ball teams. These teams offer baseball for children ages U9 to U18 and are house divisional teams that are non competitive.
Weekly team practices are held in Strathmore thanks to the towns well maintained baseball diamonds.
