Strathmore Children’s Choir has been offering music to school aged kids for many years.
This choir offers 4 different choirs for children to enroll in based off their age.
The Bravo Choir is a choir of children from Kindergarten to Grade 1. This choir typically meets Thursdays from 4:00 pm – 4:30 pm at the Strathmore United Church. Three sessions are offered during the school year (October – December, January – March and April-May).
The Encore Choir is offered to kids Grade 2 – 6. This choir typically meets Thursdays from 4:30pm to 5:30 at the Strathmore United Church. Many children in this choir have graduated from Bravo Choirs and are still looking for an opportunity to sing. Students in this choir start to learn to read sheet music, and have the opportunity to perform multiple times during the year.
The Finale Choir is the senior choir offered by the Strathmore Children’s Choir. They are students Grades 7-12. Choir members here continue to learn to read sheet music. This choir typically meets Thursdays from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Strathmore United Church.
The Showstoppers Choir is different to the Strathmore Children’s choir in the fact that it is a musical theatre choir so students work on both signing and performing on stage. This choir is offered Thursdays from 7:30 to 8:30 and is for students in Grade 7 -12.
