The Town of Strathmore is also a part of the Communities in Bloom organization. Communities in Bloom is a Canadian non-profit organization with a focus on the promotion and maintenance of local green spaces. Volunteers around Strathmore donate their time with a focus on planting new trees and plants and caring for Strathmore’s green spaces. Their most recent project has been a local birth forest.

In addition to the many green spaces in town, many Provincial Parks and bodies of water such as Eagle Lake, the Bow river and Kananaskis (in the Rocky Mountains) are all within an hours drive away.
