The weather for July 1 was perfect in Strathmore, and the town of Strathmore saw a great turnout to their planned Canada Day activities. The Day kicked off with a free pancake breakfast at the Strathmore Fire Hall beside Kinsmen Park. Residents then headed to Kinsmen Lake to spend the sunny afternoon.
The Kinsmen Lake amphitheater offered live entertainment from local bands and entertainers throughout the afternoon. Picnic tables were set up around the entertainment for families to hang out in the sun.
The kids also had the chance to take train rides, or play on the bouncy houses set up around the park.
Fireworks were lit around 11pm from the Agriculture Ground to end the evening.
